Amazon finds for pregnancy comfort

I’m writing this article because I shopped SO much on Amazon and figured it would be easier for me to simplify things for you all and just put my very favorite things that have brought me comfort throughout my pregnancy and why.

As I write this I am 20 weeks. So a few weeks ago I began to experience my belly starting to grow and being uncomfortable in literally everything. I decided to stop using my husband’s boxers and t-shirts and to get my own things. Some things I ordered weren’t as comfortable as I hoped so I am excluding them from this article. The ones listed below each have a function and they’ve brought me peace and comfort throughout my pregnancy. Hoping they do the same for you!

Low. Waisted. Underwear.

My first article of clothing due to discomfort were my underwear. I was so bloated in my first few weeks that although my belly wasn’t big, I still felt really uncomfortable in all my normal underwear because they were applying pressure on the waist. I complained to my sister – she had just given birth – and she was like “girl, you haven’t purchased the low rise underwear yet?”. I was like “whaaaaaaat”. Makes SO much since. Since your belly is bloated and eventually will be growing with the baby inside of you, it makes perfect sense to have the cut of your underwear BELOW your belly. Anyway, super comfy and glad that I got them. Click here to shop these on Amazon.

So around 14 weeks I was like “man I’m over wearing all these tight a** pants!”. In fact, I didn’t even want to wear pants at all so I bought several maternity shorts to see if it made me put clothes on. These are SO comfy. I actually just ordered some more in a few different colors. Perfect for just every day things. There are some very admirable women who just squeeze into their regular clothes or buy regular clothing just sized up, but these really brought me relief and comfort because there’s no pressure on the belly. What the heck are y’all wearing to workout pregnant? While some regular, non-maternity, athletic wear can be comfortable if you size up, this was a game changer for me. So, I was hardly moving around for a few weeks (I had gotten a UTI and ended up in the ER with severe abdominal pain due to inflammation). When I finally had the energy to workout again, I hated the act of putting on anything that stuck to my body. I did not want to wear yoga PANTS at all. And my previous workout shorts made me chaff in-between my legs or were too tight to use comfortable. I bought these shorts here in three different colors. This color here and then the two-pack that includes black and gray. These have been EVERYTHING. In fact, they’re like my outing shorts now lol. I wore them to a salsa event, a family reunion, a Cowboys football game and plan on wearing them everywhere because they provide support and comfort. Click here to shop these on Amazon.

Although shorts bring me so much happiness and I tend to wear them more than anything, I figured I needed some pantaloons for situations where I may be cold. And I was right! Working from home, I tend to wear these often because I’m super cold in the morning since I could only sleep in like 1 degree nowadays. I ended up buying these in two colors – this color and brown. I find myself wearing these often to go shopping, stop my a friend’s house. They low key make a nice fit with some cute sneakers and an oversized t-shirt. Click here to shop these on Amazon.

Lo and behold – my favorite find. This is my absolutely favorite thing to wear. Not only is it easy to put on and you don’t have to look around for something that goes with it, but it’s super comfortable and actually looks nice! You can wear a nice light jacket over it or pair with some boots – I love it. The ONLY thing is that the color I bought (purple) doesn’t match the color on the site. Granted, the color I got is much nicer than the one on the site but it’s different enough to point out. Anyway, I have to additional colors for these on their way right now because I wear the heck out of this. Click here to shop these on Amazon.

My breasts and I have not been the comfiest. So they started off feeling really heavy to the point that I always had to wear a bra. Then wire bras were feeling too tight so I switched to bralettes and sports bras. Then those were too tight so I tried no bra and not only was that uncomfortable due to the weight of my new melons, but I was sweating under my breasts a lot. And now as my breasts get larger when I don’t wear a bra my boobs stick to my stomach, I sweat, and I get a lil rash. These are the GOAT. They’re comfy, bring an extension for the waist incase you’re a bit bigger, and they’re cute honestly. I won’t be buying a second pack during my pregnancy since five is plenty but I absolutely love these. They’re nursing bras so I will be able to use them later on as well! There’s some debate around this pillow but honestly I have not slept a single night without it. I need it in order to sleep. As we have only two options – right or left side – it makes the experience more pleasant. I detach the second little arm it has (it’s a zipper) and use it between my knees while resting my belly on top so my belly isn’t just hanging in the air feeling uncomfortable. Then I take the back longer side and tuck it under my back and, hear me out, it kind of gives the illusion that you are sleeping on your back because your back is now resting on the pillow. Small wins, ya know. And when I get tired of one side, I turn around and it works the same way except now the longer side is between my knees and holding my belly, and the detached side is supporting my back. As I progress in this pregnancy I’ve noticed that I’m thicka than a snicka and due to that, my thighs have been rubbing together like never before. Super uncomfortable. During my gender reveal I wore a dress and I kept tucking the dress in-between my thighs to keep them from rubbing together. One of my best friends was like “wait I have a spray I use for that!”. Y’all. When she whipped this spray out of her purse and I realized that this is something I could use to relieve this discomfort I was so thankful. I bought these immediately to make sure they’d be at the house by the time I got home. My thighs never really chaffed before so I didn’t know how to go about it. Definitely happy I was introduced to this. Click here to shop these on Amazon.

I haven’t had the energy to do much. I wake up, work, decompress, workout a little and maybe watch some TV for an hour before I head to bed. I’ve been wanting to switch up the TV thing so I bought a book to read and also this book to scrapbook! I wanted our baby to have a story she can read about her early life and found that this scrapbook was perfect. Plus, like I mentioned, I’m bored and need more in home activities that don’t require a lot of movement. I’m happy with it and I’ve really enjoyed scrapbooking so far! I liked this book because of the simplicity of it and also the pages are labeled to tell a story. Click here to shop this on Amazon.

That concludes the list for now! I know I didn’t include any shirts but honestly, I’ve been doing fine with the oversized t-shirts that I already had. As I get further along in my pregnancy I’m sure I will add some new items but for now, these have brought me peace and happiness.
